About Vanessa Rigg
Vanessa used to spend millions of pounds of other people's money until she got bored of media buying in London. Then she took an OU Playwriting Course.
One of Vanessa’s first plays to be performed was "Who Put the B in the BBC?", a fictionalised account of a true mishap in the early days of radio broadcasting, which was performed as part of Campden Literary Festival's fringe in 2010.
For this year's Literary Festival, Vanessa adapted the extraordinary childhood memories of Emmerdale actor Toke Townley into a monologue, The Fire and the Freedom.
As one half of Creative Cows, she is occasionally called upon to write scripts of a comedic nature.
About Keyna Doran
Keyna’s comedy career was borne out of her love of talking! Her first engagement was when she was asked to be “Best Man” at a friend’s wedding in the mid ‘80’s. Since then she has gone on to perform at numerous events as an After Dinner Speaker and has more recently acted as M.C. at many dinners and fundraisers.
Keyna has tested the stand-up circuit with Hilarious at the Lord Nelson Pub in Alcester, she writes and performs all her own material and has written speeches for other people.
About Creative Cows
Creative Cows was conceived in 2010 by Vanessa Rigg and Keyna Doran, and kicked off in style in September, 2010 with Carry On Up The Courtroom: a comedy review featuring sketches written by Vanessa Rigg, Jacqueline Hicks & Keyna Doran, with additional material from Neil Dodgson Hatto.
The review launched the start of Creative Campden’s Art weekend and acts included Chipping Campden Drama Group and music by Generation Jones.
After this sell out event, Creative Cows was born!
The second event, It’s A Family Affair, was put on as a fringe show as part of Chipping Campden’s Literature Festival with a mixture of local and outside talent. Read Review.
