Food and Drink
There is a bar at the Comedy Club, which opens at 8 p.m. and stays open throughout the performances. It will also stay open for a short time after the last performance depending on demand.
Chipping Campden has numerous pubs and restaurants, but it is advisable to book first and allow yourself plenty of time to eat and get to the club.
If you're short of time there are two takeaways:-
A Chinese/Fish & Chip shop in Sheep Street and an Indian restaurant & take away in Lower High Street.
We can recommend other places to eat and drink, however, our Club bar is very kindly run by Neil & Julie Hargreaves from The Eight Bells; which is right across the street from the Church Rooms and is great.
Please feel free to contact us for other recommendations.
Performance Times
Unless otherwise specified on the posters/advertisements, the doors for all performances open at 8 p.m. for an approx start time of 8.30 p.m. The end of the show will vary, but as a guideline it is normally around 11 p.m.
Keep an eye on the Diary Page for regular updates.
Warning - Adult Content!
Although there is likely to a broad spectrum of acts, some of them will undoubtedly contain swearing and/or material that some people might find offensive, therefore, the club is for people who are 18 years and over. And for those of you who are over 18, it's advisable that you come with a very open mind - just in case.
Comedians
As of writing this (July 2011) we are a very new club, but have already had some great comedians here, who have really enjoyed the venue, the atmosphere and the audience.
If you are coming to us in the near future, please feel free to contact us for any background info you might want on Chipping Campden, our typical audience, the venue, us, etc., etc., etc.
It would be great if you can supply us with your comedy c.v. and photo so we can include you in our comedian 'Hall of Fame' and any other details, such as website, twitter, facebook accounts.
Tickets
Add yourself to our mailing list and we will give you a nudge when tickets go on sale, but book early as the word is spreading and the seating is limited at the Church Rooms.
Print off a booking form by clicking here and follow the instructions.
If you are not on our mailing list, details of ticket sales will be posted on the website nearer the time - so keep an eye on the site.
WINTER WEATHER PRECAUTIONS – just in case
Comedians drive miles to visit us. If the weather gets too bad, we may have to re-jig the advertised acts or, in the very worst case, cancel the evening completely.
If the weather looks bad, please check our website. We will put a notice on the Home Page. Alternatively ring us on 01386 849081, Keyna, or 01386 849228, Vanessa.
